A Glen Campbell man is in the Clearfield County Jail after an investigation of alleged child abuse in Burnside Township.
26-year-old Jessy Newsome was taken into custody after state police were summoned on Saturday by Clearfield County Children and Youth Services to investigate a burn on the arm of a 7-year-old boy.
Newsome faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, endangering the welfare of children, and recklessly endangering the welfare of another person. His bail was set at $50,000.
